The Leading Edge LE-v150 is a rugged, silent and highly reliable vertical axis wind turbine designed to provide power outputs of up to 200 watts for a host of different battery charging applications. The LE-v150 Advanced Kit includes the Tristar 45A diversion charge controller and 300W dump load.
The wind turbine is connected directly to the batteries and the Tristar charge controller is also connected to the batteries. When the batteries are fully charged, the controller diverts excess power generated by the wind turbine into the 300W dump load, dissipating the power as heat. A dedicated solar charge controller should be used as the solar and wind systems are parallel systems, both connected to the batteries.
Included are 4 x 70mm U-bolts (Stainless Steel) for side mounting to 50mm or 60mm OD pole.
